Step into our Studio space, where Boyle Heights' roots become the fertile ground for stories that reveal the hidden wisdom beneath the surface. These narratives aren't just stories; they promise laughter, wisdom, and tales that will 'branch' out into the extraordinary!

Our storytellers April Starr Collins, Aida Zilelian, and Celeste Lanuza will leave you 'tree'mbling with excitement! Your journey awaits at Studio Luna” the home for stories to take root and 'blossom' into collective strength.

Tickets are $25 and include three MainStage stories and a whole lotta of Luna. What you get:

Aida Zilelian-Silak

Aida Zilelian is a first generation American-Armenian writer, educator and storyteller from Queens, NY. She is the author of The Legacy of Lost Things which was the recipient of the 2014 Tololyan Literary Award. She has been featured in the Huffington Post, NPR’s Takeaway, RISK!, NYC's Finest Storytelling, among other reading series, print outlets and media outlets. Her novel All the Ways We Lied, a story about a dysfunctional Armenian family, released this month

Graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in Theatre. April is fortunate to act in over 15 different stage productions! Researching and reading what Studio Luna is about and who they represent, makes April feel so eager and passionate to join this storytelling experience!

Celeste Lanuza

Celeste Lanuza (she/ella) is a creative performing artist and scholar who uses dance theater and original/live music as tools to empower and build community. As a current scholarship recipient PhD Candidate in Performance Studies, she brings rigor and dedication to access and equity in performing arts production, direction, and choreography stemming from aspects such as healing, preservation, and engaging through interdisciplinary outlets that bring unity.

Celeste has been a full-time professor at AMDA College of the Performing Arts in NYC/LA, and Lecturer at Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Pomona, and Glendale College. 


As a playwright she has co written a musical called The Desert Rose and directed, choreographed, and musically directed this work for the NYC Fringe Fest to sold out audiences in Manhattan. 

Lanuza collaborates with Engineers in Motion Capture finding exciting ways to mobilize the dance field. Her work in AI is mentioned in the Root & STEM magazine while she was a Visiting Assistant Professor Heading the Dance Department at Washington and Lee University in Virginia.

Celeste holds an MFA from UC Irvine in Choreography where she held a full scholarship and a BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia in Dance and Musical Theater under an Artist Grant.


Ms. Lanuza is energized to be living in LA and collaborating with organizations such as Studio Luna!
